Jr has severe autism and relies heavily on bathing for sensory regulation, emotional calming, and safety. Bath time helps him reset when anxiety and overstimulation become overwhelming. It’s one of the few things that consistently helps him regulate his nervous system.
Right now, our bathroom is unusable. The bathtub was removed, and the space was left gutted after someone took the money that was meant to complete the work. As a single parent already stretched thin emotionally and financially, I don’t have the resources to fix this on my own.
Without a safe bathtub:
• Jr’s regulation suffers
• Daily routines become harder
• Safety risks increase
• Caregiver burnout intensifies
This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of rebuilding a safe, functional bathtub so Jr can bathe with dignity and stability again.
If you know anything about autism, you know that routines and regulation matter — and when one essential piece disappears, it impacts everything.
If you’re able to donate, share, or attend the fundraiser, please know that you’re not just helping with a bathroom, you’re helping a child feel safe in his own home.
