One-and-a-half-year-old Marcus is currently meeting his developmental milestones.  He loves to play with his toys and his sister both indoors and out.  He also enjoys reading his books.

Marcus was diagnosed with hearing loss when he was born and his parents want to provide him with the best possible care and give him the tools he needs to fully develop his hearing and speech.

Marcus’ family is asking for support for his enrollment in Ohio Valley Voices (OVV), which provides specialized therapy and support for children with hearing loss.  The program’s team of specialist will help him learn to communicate and develop his speech skills.  At some point before Marcus reaches third grade, he will graduate from OVV and integrate into his neighborhood school with his hearing peers.

OVV provides a comprehensive approach to speech and language development, which includes speech therapy, audiology, occupational therapy, and parent education.  But the program cost is significant and Marcus’ family needs assistance to cover the expenses.
