Seven-year-old Alex loves music and dancing. He rarely stops moving! He is starting to sing along with all of his favorite songs. Alex loves animals and dinosaurs, and he is a happy child unless he is upset by something, often something sensory-related.
It was suspected that Alex had autism when he turned 2 and was still nonverbal. He was immediately enrolled in “Help Me Grow” and preschool. He has had speech and occupational therapy for 5 years through school, Cincinnati Childrens, and Key Behavioral Services.
Alex is doing very well in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy, but it is very expensive and he may not be able to continue without our help.
ABA Therapy - $5,000
Building Blocks for Kids supports children and families who live with disabilities in a wide variety of ways. One of those ways is through our Meet A Need Medical Scholarship Program. This program allows us to meet individual needs, one child at a time.
